School Introduction

Kalamazoo College, also known as K College or simply K, is a private liberal arts college founded in 1833 and located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The college campus is located just east of Western Michigan University. The school was founded by American Baptist ministers, but has no religious affiliation today. Kalamazoo College is a member of the Association of Great Lakes Colleges. It is listed in Loren Pope's Life-Changing Colleges. In 2012, Forbes ranked it as the 65th best college in the United States,[2][3] and the highest-ranked private university in Michigan. It has historically been known as a leading producer of Peace Corps volunteers among small liberal arts colleges.
