The most important feature of the Planet satellite constellation is that it provides users with fast and updated commercial satellite imagery. We clicked on the activation link and started filling in our planet account information, which needs to be filled out again.

Planet Scope Satellite Download Steps

2,Go to the Data View window  Click on the location of the red box in Figure 1 to enter the data view window, as shown below:

3,Select download area

Entering the data window, you can see menu bars on the left and right sides. On the right side there is a dotted box icon, put the mouse on it will pop up this Area of interest interface, you can click on the right side of the three upper-right corner of the icon with a "+" to draw the ploygon, but the most used is the upload shp function, you can download shp within the range of the image!

4,Data filtering   After selecting the region, a filter box will automatically pop up on the left side, allowing you to filter for date and cloud amount, etc.

Pay special attention to this filter, that SkySat is paid! You can only download the 3-7m ones for free.

As shown below, the data can be selected by clicking on the shopping cart in the upper right corner of the impact. All the impacts needed can be selected according to the same operation.

5,Submit Download

Once you have selected all the images to be downloaded, you can click Order scenes to submit the images, and then the following screen will pop up for further data filtering.

Note that when the following appears, you may be prompted to select the amount of data beyond the download limit (general limit of the same type of data can only be submitted at a time 100 views). Simply return to the previous step, split the data into multiple ORDER downloads, and submit them in batches multiple times.

Click continue to get to step 2 and then just name your data download project.

Continuing to the next step, different levels of data can be selected, including surface reflectance data, atmospheric apparent reflectance, and so on.

Through the above choices, to reach the final step, just a preview of the data, at this time do not care, directly click on the right side of the Order to submit.

6、Waiting to download

After submitting, there will be a wait as pictured below. It usually takes about half an hour to wait for the download.
