Fast Member Upgrade Within 240 days of international student status verification, if a member purchases a passenger ticket on international and regional routes actually operated by Air China from Air China's APP or WeChat/Alipay applet and travels on eligible flights for a specified number of times,* the member is eligible to upgrade to a Gold/Silver card, which is valid for one year. If the upgraded card class is the same as the existing class, the validity period will not be superimposed and the furthest validity period will prevail.

Authentication Methods

Hello, log in to Air China APP, and you can verify your student status on the homepage under "Activities"-"Student Discount Zone". There is no age limit.
1. Students in the territory:Domestic student verification through Alipay can authenticate student status including college, undergraduate, and graduate (master's and doctoral) students.
Note: Supported student types and authentication results are subject to Alipay verification results.
2. Overseas students:We provide both email authentication and manual authentication. We recommend that you give priority to mailbox authentication, manual verification takes 5 working days.
Email authentication: We will send the authentication link to your school email address, click on the confirmation to complete the authentication;
Manual authentication: you need to upload electronic photos of your documents related to studying abroad, including the first page of your passport, proof of enrollment (either the visa page of your passport for international students, your acceptance letter, or your student ID card of the institution you are studying at).
①Proof of enrollment must be submitted from a country different from the country of your passport (e.g., Chinese passport to Japan, Japanese student to China, Korean student to the UK) and the age limit is 14 to 35 years old.
② The English name on the front page of the passport should be the same as the English name filled in the Air China APP registration.

Certification process
