SUNO is an AI music generation tool developed by startup SUNO AI, with a name derived from the Hindi word (Hindi), which stands for 'listen'. Like Midjourney, which generates images from text, it allows users to generate complete songs from text through commands, and is also an Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) tool.

Mikey Shulman, co-founder of SUNO, graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Physics and received his Ph.D. in Physics from Harvard University. Prior to founding SUNO AI in 2022, he was Head of Machine Learning at AI startup Kensho Technologies. Function

The main use of SUNO is to generate music. The composition of a piece of music is not only the melody, but also how the passages are bridged, and how the lyrics are set to each passage, so in more detail, SUNO can generate lyrics, as well as a song that combines lyrics, vocals, and instrumentation, while having a complete structure.

In terms of lyrics, SUNO can generate lyrics phrase by phrase, or according to the user's instructions, it can generate the lyrics of a complete song, including the main song (verse), the chorus, and the connecting section (bridge), and so on.

As for generating music, users can write down the keywords used to describe the music in text commands, such as genre, mood, tempo and instrumentation, etc. SUNO will generate content according to the descriptions.

In addition to generating music out of thin air, SUNO also provides the "Extend" function, which can extend the music generated by SUNO, as well as the audio files uploaded by the user, and the generated content will have a certain degree of similarity with the original content.
