HistoryKirsty and the founders started the Student App Center in 2018 while studying at a UK university. At the time, the founders had just bought a new iMac and had saved up a lot of money over the past year. common problems

Why haven't I received my discount yet?
Most people should receive a discount within 15 minutes of entering their academic email on the site. However, some educational institutions do not allow students or staff to receive emails from outside the institution; if this is the case for you, we will not be able to send any emails to your academic email.

To resolve the email blocking issue, please send us an email from your personal email with your student ID (see below) and we will respond with your student discount.

What evidence can I provide to prove my student status?
Students can apply for a discount by sending us any of the following proof of student status:

Notification of acceptance to the course
student card
Course Billing
Any evidence must be dated. If I am unable to translate evidence that is not in English, it may take longer to validate or be rejected.

What academic email addresses are accepted?
The Student Application Center accepts all common student email addresses.

Why do only some apps allow me to apply for discounts directly from the Student App Center?
We want to provide students with the biggest discounts on all the software they might need, so we decided to list two types of apps on our discount page:

Standard Discounts Page - These app discounts are managed and distributed by their developers. The Student App Center simply helps students find and claim these discounts.
Fast Track ➟ Discounts Page - These are applications where students can apply for student discounts directly in the Student App Center. We manage student verification and the allocation of student discounts.
As a service, we want to offer both types of discounts to ensure that students can find the best discount options.

Is the discount retroactive?
Student App Center discounts can only be applied to future purchases and cannot be applied retroactively. If you decide to purchase an app, you will not be able to claim any money back between the time you apply for the discount and the time you receive it.
