Introduction

Woodland Community College (Woodland Community College, abbreviated WCC) in Bathsheba Woodlands is a public community college in Woodlands, California. It is part of the Bath Bar Community College District and is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges. It is also one of the 112 members of the California Community College System, with a campus that covers 0.49 square kilometers. Woodland Community College offers a language program, and students who do not have the required TOEFL score can apply for admission to its language program.

In the fall of 1975, Woodland offered an outreach program course.In 1981, the California State Board of Postsecondary Education designated the city of Woodland as an official education center.In 1990, Woodland Center (now Woodland Community College) moved to its current 120-acre (49 ha) site.In 1999, the Bath Community College District announced its intention to turn Woodland Center into a self-sufficient community College, and that same year, opened a Child Development Center on the campus. The following year, the district received approval from the governor's office to begin the process of Woodland Center becoming a comprehensive college. [1] In 2006, Woodland Community College began the accreditation process through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and in June 2008 completed its initial notification of accreditation.
