School Introduction

University of Florida, Valencia Collegeis a public college in Orlando, Florida. It was founded in 1967 as Valencia Junior College and changed its name to Valencia Community College in 1971.In December 2010, Valencia's Board of Trustees voted to change the name to Valencia College, as the school's academic offerings were expanded to include baccalaureate degrees.

Valencia College is located in Kissimmee, a large city in Central Florida, which is close to Orlando, and Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld, and Walt Disney World are also located in Kissimmee. With a total population of 60,000, Kissimmee has easy access to local transportation, making it easy for students to travel and tour.

Ranked No. 1 in the nation for the number of associate degrees conferred, Valencia College is known for its Criminal Justice Academy, and as such is one of four colleges accredited by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Valencia College is ranked second in the amount of financial grants it receives from the State of Florida. The school's motto, "We Believe You Can," expresses the school's mission to prepare students to be future leaders.

School Application

Atlas email accounts (yourname@mail.valenciacollege.edu) provide faculty, staff, and students with mailboxes, calendars, collaboration, blogs, photo sharing, event scheduling, instant messaging delivery tools, and more.

The basic application process: apply for admission and financial aid, create your Atlas account, complete online and on-campus orientations, register for classes and pay for tuition and fees, obtain a student ID and parking pass, and buy books to go to class.

Request official transcripts through your Atlas account. You will need to pay a $3 fee for each official transcript. Please note that transcripts are sent by mail only. We do not have an in-person pickup option, so they cannot be emailed or faxed. To complete your application to attend Valencia College, you will need to submit a high school or GED diploma or transcript to the Office of Admissions and Records. Please note that all transcripts must be in the original sealed envelope. Any open transcripts are considered unofficial and will not be accepted.

University of Florida, Valencia CollegeEDU Mailbox is hosted on Microsoft Office 365 and supports the installation of Microsoft Office 365 Desktop Edition.

Basic client setup for student email accounts For Outlook Client (2007, 2010, and 2013) or Outlook Express, use the Control Panel in Windows to add a new "profile" for operating systems including but not limited to: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP. Change Password

If for any reason you need to change your atlas password, follow the steps below to reset it.

switch toValenciacollege.edu, then click "Login" and select "atlas".

Here, please click on "Forgot Password?". Forgot Password

You should see a pop-up window prompting you to enter your information and proceed to fill it out.To submit your VID, you will need to enter a capital " V" before the number.

Next, you will have to answer the secret question that was set up when you created your Atlas account. After that, you will be provided with a new password setting that must meet the following requirements:

Passwords must be at least eight characters long.

Passwords must consist of a combination of three (3) of the following four (4) categories: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.

Passwords cannot contain dictionary words.

Passwords cannot contain all or part of the user identification.

The password cannot match any of the ten passwords you have previously used.

Upon completion of this process, you will reset your password, allowing you to log in to any campus computer; the Atlas website; and your email.
