Centennial Polytechnic Institute（Centennial College is the oldest public college in the province of Ontario, Canada, with four campuses in Toronto, Canada, serving residents of the eastern part of the Greater Toronto Area. It offers more than 120 programs in business, communications, community and customer service, science and engineering technology, health care, and transportation, as well as dual degrees in journalism, emerging media, first aid, industrial microbiology, and environmental sciences in conjunction with the University of Toronto at Scarborough. With approximately 16,000 full-time students and 22,000 part-time students, and a student and faculty population from close to 100 ethnic groups and covering 80 languages, it is one of the most ethnically diverse colleges in Ontario.

The first campus of Centenary College, the Walden Woods Campus opened on October 17, 1966, with 514 students enrolled in 16 career-oriented programs, including journalism, secretarial science, and early childhood education. The campus utilizes a decommissioned federal building that was renovated for use as an academic institution. It has grown over the years to include programs in health/nutrition, hospitality, child studies and community service.In 1973, the Ontario government transferred responsibility for nursing education from the province's hospitals to its colleges. Locally, the Scarborough Regional and Toronto East Comprehensive Schools of Nursing joined Centennial College, and the School of Health Sciences was established at the Warden Woods campus.

Application Requirements

(1 ) International student students who have IELTS scores but do not meet the admission requirements or do not have IELTS scores: students who first pass the ESL course offered by the Toronto International College, complete the Toronto International College ESL level 5 language study, obtain a certificate, and have no less than 70% in any of the scores, may be admitted directly to the post-secondary diploma (Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma) and undergraduate programs of Centennial Polytechnic and only need to Passing the Centennial Polytechnic language proficiency test without the need to provide further TOEFL or IELTS scores;
(2) Students attending Toronto International College who have obtained our high school diploma will be eligible for direct admission to Centennial Polytechnic's Diploma (Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma) and Undergraduate programs, and will only need to pass Centennial Polytechnic's language proficiency test, without the need to provide TOEFL or IELTS scores.

The new Centennial College mobile app, available for iOS and Android, gives you access to your schedule, grades, eCentennial, myCentennial College events and more.

With the press of a button, your class schedule will be displayed on the app and you'll have a map of each campus to find your way there. You can also view your final grades on the app if you want to know how your last exam went.

Quiz assignments and grades

After studying the course material, you can submit an assessment through eCentennial. You can also use the Learning Management System to take quizzes and view your scores.

How to take a quiz on eCentennial

At Centennial College, faculty can add quizzes directly to eCentennial, giving you the opportunity to assess your learning. Be sure to note the date and time the quiz is due - it is listed under the quiz heading.

1. Log in to eCentennial
2. Click on Quizzes in the top bar.
3. Click on the title of the quiz you want to take. You will be taken to the home page for that quiz.
4. Click to start the quiz!
5. Click OK in the pop-up box. If you do not want to take the quiz, click Cancel.
6. Answer the questions. Make sure to save your answers by clicking Save below each question.
7. When finished, click Go to Submit Quiz.
8. If you are sure you are done, click Submit Quiz. After submitting the quiz, you will not be able to redo it (unless your instructor states otherwise).
9. Click Yes, Submit Quiz in the pop-up box to confirm that you want to submit the quiz.

How to Submit Assignments via Dropbox

Teacher-assigned assignments can be uploaded to eCentennial using Dropbox.Dropbox checks your assignments for plagiarism and sends them to your teacher.

1. On your dashboard, click Dropbox in the top bar.
2. Find the title of the assignment you want to submit and press it.
3. Press to add a file.
4. Locate the file you want to add to your computer and click Select.
5. Add any comments in the Comments text box.
6. Press submit.

How to view your results

If your assignment has been graded without any specific feedback, you can use the "Grading" page to view your score.

1. On your dashboard, click Accomplishments in the top bar.
2. Your grades will be displayed by assignment with the number of points earned, weights earned, and letter grades.

How to change your myCentennial password

Your Centennial password can be changed through the myCentennial dashboard.

3. In "Change Password" section, enter the following:
   • In the "Current Password" field to enter your current password.
   • Outlined on the right side of the page in the "After "password requirements", insert "new password" field to enter a new password.
   • In the "Confirm Password" field to enter the new password you just created.
4. Click on "Save Changes".You will receive a message "Your password has been successfully changed", click "Return to the myCentennial tab".
